Thank you for your continued support of Dark and Darker Mobile.

This update marks the introduction of new PvP and PvE content, as well as a new progression system that will allow you to further enhance your characters for more dynamic gameplay.


Balance adjustments have also been made to each class in response to player feedback. We will continue making refinements based on community input and gameplay data.

Several major bugs that caused inconveniences during gameplay have also been fixed.


We will continue to listen closely to player feedback and implement updates and improvements over time to provide a more enjoyable gameplay experience.

Pre-Season #3: "Grappling with the Abyss" has now begun!

  • Adjustments have been made to the charm stat.
    • When charm is at 15 or higher, stats related to rewards (item drop rate, gold) will also increase.

[New Content]

  • Arena
    • The Arena is a 3v3 team deathmatch PvP mode.
    • Adventurers can enter the Arena fully equipped with gear earned in the Darkest Regions without fear of losing their items.
    • You will not lose your equipment after defeat.
      • Each round will take place in one of three Arena maps, selected at random.
      • You can spend a mercenary's condition points to enter the Arena with them.
    • The Arena is unlocked at account level 10 and can be accessed by players with an equipment score of 500 or higher.
    • Every two weeks, the top-ranking adventurers will be given limited-time costumes, poses, and other rewards. The top 1,000 players will also receive season coins based on their rankings.
      • At the end of Pre-Season #3, the top 100 adventurers in the Arena will receive a Throne of Victory pose that can be used during the following season.
    • Arena mission events are now live. Collect Arena Tokens and exchange them for rewards!

  • Shadow Realm
    • The Shadow Realm makes its return! This PvE area offers weekly challenges that allow adventurers to grow stronger by facing powerful bosses.
      • New dungeons will be unlocked every week, with gradually increasing difficulty. Put your skills to the test by facing off against unique enemies and boss mechanics. Survive waves of foes through cooperation and coordination, encounter formidable bosses by fulfilling certain conditions, and challenge yourself against thrilling trials unique to each realm.
    • Additional soulstone slots can be unlocked by completing Shadow Realm trials. Two slots can be unlocked from each realm, for a total of twelve slots. Equip soulstones to each slot to make your character even stronger.
    • The Shadow Realm is available to players who have unlocked The Goblin Caves (Nightmare) and The Forgotten Castle (Nightmare) one week after the start of each season.
    • New Monsters
      • Inquisitor
        • An inquisitor of a cult that worships blood and flame, wielding a warhammer and censer to mete out both fire magic and physical attacks.
        • They have the ability to create fire zones or use fire attacks that affect a wide area. Keeping an eye on their position and attack patterns is key to defeating them.
      • Shadow Knight
        • A swift melee combatant who boasts superior mobility and an arsenal of shadow-based attacks.
        • Seize victory by studying their attack patterns and timing dodges and attacks accordingly.
      • Shackled Skeleton
        • A slow but sturdy monster that requires a strategic approach to defeat.
        • A full frontal assault is unlikely to faze them, so look for an opening and exploit their weaknesses to bring them down.

  • Guild Encampment
    • The Guild Encampment has been added to the village.
    • Here, you can chat, check guild member details, and engage in other out-of-combat activities.
    • The Guild Encampment is unlocked for guilds at level 3 or higher and is only accessible to players who are currently in a guild.

  • Soulstones
    • Soulstones are a new enhancement system that grant various effects when equipped.
    • Each soulstone offers a unique growth path by boosting specific stats or abilities. By equipping Soulstones obtained from monsters during your adventures to the Obelisk, you can harness part of those monsters' traits.
    • Soulstones are unlocked at account level 8, and their effects are applied separately to each character.
    • Soulstone Slots
      • Each adventurer starts with 3 slots by default.
      • Additional slots can be unlocked by completing Shadow Realm trials.
        • Completing Shadow Realm 1's trial unlocks 2 slots.
        • Completing Shadow Realm 2's trial unlocks 2 slots.
        • Completing Shadow Realm 3's trial unlocks 2 slots.
        • Completing Shadow Realm 4's trial unlocks 2 slots.
        • Completing Shadow Realm 5's trial unlocks 2 slots.
        • Completing Shadow Realm 6's trial unlocks 2 slots.
      • Two types of slots are available.
        • Common
          • Allows you to equip common soulstones.
        • Superior
          • Allows you to equip superior soulstones.

          • Up to four soulstones of this type can be equipped at once.

          • Dropped by powerful monsters.
          • Offers unique combat-related effects that function similarly to class-based passives.

  • Stat Trees
    • Stat trees are a new progression system designed to help adventurers re-enter the dungeons and return to the fray, even after losing all their items in the Darkest Regions.
    • Stat trees can be upgraded using stat points obtained from increasing character levels.
      • You earn one stat point per level.
      • Adventurers can choose from three different traits, which each offer unique abilities.
    • Stat trees are unlocked at character level 5 and are applied separately to each character.
    • You can use gold to reset your stat trees and redistribute stat points at any time.


[Dungeons]

  • New Monsters
    • The boss of The Forgotten Castle (Inferno) has been changed from the Ghost King to the Lich.
    • Defeating the Lich will grant unique grade equipment.
      • Immortal Lich Belt, Chaotic Lich Belt, Charging Lich Ring, Lich Essence Ring, Balanced Lich Ring, Charging Lich Necklace, Lich Essence Necklace, Balanced Lich Necklace
    • More Mimic variants will appear in the Darkest Regions. Be wary of barrels and doors when adventuring in the Goblin Caves (Nightmare or higher) and the Forgotten Castle (Hard or higher)!

  • Balance Changes
    • A destructible object has been placed above certain doors.
    • Monsters in Nightmare and Hell difficulty dungeons have increased power and health.
    • The Dungeon Trader will appear in Nightmare or higher difficulties of the Goblin Caves and the Forgotten Castle.
      • The Dungeon Trader does not sell any items and will only buy items from players.
    • Equipment score limits for Normal and Hard difficulties of the Goblin Caves and Forgotten Castle have been adjusted.

    • Ranking point penalties from failed escapes have been reduced for adventurers ranked Silver or higher.
    • The Dark Swarm has been adjusted to prevent players from suddenly taking heavy damage.
    • The behavior patterns of Death Skulls in the Forgotten Castle (Hell) has been adjusted. They will now immediately approach their target before self-destructing instead of hovering first.

  • Quality of Life Improvements
    • The layouts of the Goblin Caves and Forgotten Castle dungeons have been changed to offer players a new experience.
    • In Normal and Hard difficulties, terrain has been adjusted for easier navigation.
      • In dungeons with multiple floors, higher floors are now displayed in brighter colors for better visibility.
      • Maps now offer a Single-Floor View that can be enabled or disabled by using a toggle button.
    • The map will automatically be updated when moving between floors.
    • In-game audio balance has been improved across dungeons for enhanced immersion, affecting ambient noises and sounds from monsters and objects.
    • Quest items obtained while in a party will now be shared among party members.
    • A call-out message will play when placing a marker on the world map.
    • A screen transition will play when switching between spectate targets. You will be unable to change targets again for a short duration.


[Classes]

  • All Classes
    • The maximum account level has been adjusted. New rewards have been added accordingly.
      • Level 100 → Level 120
    • New stats have been added to the game.
      • New stats: Increased Gold, Increased Item Drop Rate, Bonus Damage to Monsters, Reduced Damage from Monsters (Boss, Undead, Spirit, Beast, Demon, Humanoid)
    • Adjustments have been made to the charm stat.
      • When charm is at 15 or higher, stats related to rewards (increased item drop rate, increased gold) will also increase.
    • Adjustments have been made to bonus stats from the strength and knowledge stats.
      • Physical bonus and magic bonus stats will only be increased when strength and knowledge is at 55 or higher, increasing by 0.6% for each point above 55.
    • Move speed reduction for backward movement
      • Moving backward decreases move speed by 20%.
    • Certain Fighter and Rogue skills have been adjusted to prevent them from skipping certain boss mechanics.
      • Affected Skills: Evade (Fighter), Somersault (Rogue)
    • Headshots will always deal more damage than regular attacks, even against targets with high headshot damage reduction.

  • Fighter
    • Adjustments have been made to certain skills.
      • Bare hands skills removed
        • The following skills have been removed due to low usage.
          • Bare-Handed Fighter
          • Bare Hands Mastery
      • Enhanced Shield
        • 15% physical defense increase → 10% reduced damage
    • New skills added.
      • Swap Mastery
        • Temporarily increases move speed by 20% after switching weapons.
      • Quick Strike
        • Uses a one-handed weapon with no weapon skills to strike quickly.
        • Staggers targets
        • Decreases cooldown by 30% with each successful attack.
      • Taunt
        • No longer affects enemies not facing the caster.
      • Shield Rush
        • Stun duration decreased from 1 sec to 0.7 sec
        • Hitbox increased to hit sitting targets
        • Horizontal camera rotation increased by 45 degrees.
      • Buckler - Shield Bash
        • Cooldown adjusted from 8 sec to 10 sec
      • Slayer
        • Unlock level adjusted from level 15 to level 14.

  • Barbarian
    • Can use the Viking Sword.
    • Can now equip round shields.
    • Adjustments have been made to certain skills.
      • Combo Attack
        • Triggers after a successful hit instead of requiring two consecutive attacks
        • Damage increase changed from 15% to 10%
      • Skull Bash
        • Activation window increased from 4 sec to 6 sec
        • Cooldown decreased from 10 sec to 8 sec
      • Whirlwind
        • Can now be used with one-handed swords

  • Rogue
    • Adjustments have been made to certain skills.
      • Weakpoint Attack
        • Increases move speed by 15% while active
      • Somersault
        • Untargetability effect has been changed to invincibility
          • Reason: To prevent players from using Somersault to skip certain boss attack patterns
          • Tooltip updates
          • The following note has been added:
            • Cannot evade certain attacks from powerful monsters.
      • Dagger Throw
        • Damage multipliers adjusted.
          • Damage per dagger decreased from 80% to 70%.
          • Cannot use this skill while equipped with a left hand dagger.
        • [Daggers Only] → [Right Hand Daggers Only]
          • These changes have been made to prevent players from using Dagger Throw while equipped with a rapier and left hand dagger.
    • Improvements have been made to passive skills.
      • Emergency Stealth
        • Skill activation threshold changed from 20% to 40%.
      • Stealth Cloak
        • Previous effect removed.
        • Grants 50% damage reduction for 5 sec after stealth ends. Cancels after being hit once.
      • King of Thieves
        • Stealth is canceled after an interaction ends or is interrupted.

  • Ranger
    • Two new skills added.
      • Concussive Kick (New)
        • Knocks enemies back with a powerful blow, stunning them and breaking their guard. Can destroy wooden doors.
        • Concussive Kick: Launches a powerful kick forward that deals damage equal to 100% of physical power, knocking targets back and staggering them. Can destroy wooden doors. (Cooldown: 15 sec)
      • Disguise (New)
        • Disguise yourself as a barrel for 60 sec.
        • Disguise: While disguised, interaction speed increases by 30%, but movement speed decreases by 70%. You can still move, jump, and interact. Not effective on boss monsters. (Cooldown: 30 sec)
        • Cancels: When using basic attack and skills, incapacitated, knocked out, or reusing the Disguise skill.
    • Improvements have been made to certain skills.
      • Impact Force
        • Imbues your bow with impact force that increases damage dealt and knocks the target back.
        • Impact Force: Knocks the target back with each successful attack for 12 sec and increases damage dealt by 10%. Applies to 3 attacks per use, with one use consumed per successful hit. (Cooldown: 10 sec)
          • (Note: Swapping weapons cancels the effect.)
      • Hunting Trap
        • Places a hunting trap that temporarily binds the target when triggered.
        • Hunting Trap: Deals 15 damage and binds the enemy for 6 sec. Interacting with an activated trap for disarms it and removes the bind effect. Installed traps remain for 3 min and can be retrieved through interaction. (10 uses)
    • Improvements have been made to passive skills.
      • Spear Mastery (Existing)
        • Now increases damage by 10% when a spear is equipped.
      • Enhanced Javelin (New)
        • Increases number of uses for Javelin to 2 and grants a piercing effect.
      • Crippling Shot (Existing)
        • Fixed the following tooltip error.
          • Increases damage to legs by 120% → Increases damage to legs by 20%
      • Trap Mastery
        • Increases trap bind duration and time required to disarm traps by 2 sec.
          • Bind duration: 6 sec → 8 sec
          • Disarm time: 2 sec → 3 sec

  • Cleric
    • New skills have been added.
      • Enhanced Bare Hands
        • Unlocks at level 10
        • Cost: 10 willpower
        • Cooldown: 15 sec
        • Increases damage by 350% while active
        • Cancels when switching weapons.
      • Bare Hands Mastery
        • Unlocks at level 10

      • The Longbow has been added to the game.
      • This weapon makes use of curved shots, hitting its mark even when faced with obstacles and difficult terrain.
      • This weapon comes with the weapon skill Blazing Arrow, which creates a dangerous blaze upon hitting a target.
        • Blazing Arrow
          • Fires a flaming arrow from afar, lighting the target and surrounding terrain ablaze.
          • Launches a flaming arrow.
          • Deals 30% damage on hit and creates a blaze that lasts for 6 sec.
          • Deals 175% magic damage every 1 sec to targets within the blaze.
    • Newly added weapons will be available for purchase and crafting.

  • Balance changes have been made to certain weapons.
    • War Maul
      • Combo flow improved for faster consecutive attacks.
        • Combo extended from two hits to three hits.
      • Improvements to Weapon Skills
        • Ground Smash
          • Hitbox increased
            • Ground Smash can no longer be avoided with normal jumps
            • Hitbox height increased from 50 to 150
          • Improved delay on follow-up actions

        • Reload Bolts: Deals 60% less damage and consumes 1 bolt per hit. Switching weapons removes the effect. (Cooldown: 40 sec)
    • Windlass Crossbow
      • Rapid Volley
        • Fires two bolts consecutively. Does not knock targets back.
        • Rapid Volley: Deals damage equal to 65% of physical power with each bolt fired. (Cooldown: 25 sec)
    • Castillon Dagger
      • Nape Piercer: Cooldown adjusted from 8 sec to 15 sec.
    • Throwing Knife
      • Number of stacks adjusted from 7 to 5.

  • Balance adjustments have been made for certain consumables.
    • Surgical Kit: Recovers 100% health → Recovers 400 health
    • Troll's Blood: Recovers 1% health per 1 sec for 100 sec → Recovers 4 health per 1 sec for 100 sec
    • Protection Potion (Support, Common): Duration increased from 10 sec to 15 sec

  • Escape Stones can no longer be used in certain maps or game modes.
    • Maps: Training Ground, Guild Encampment, Shadow Realm, Arena

  • Miscellaneous
    • Additional physical defense and magic resistance stats from weapons and headshot damage stats from belts have been removed.


[Quests]

  • New daily quests have been added to dungeons of Hard difficulty or higher, with different quests for each difficulty.
  • A Refresh Daily Quests button has been added to the bottom left of the Daily Quests menu. Use it to reroll quests for free or by spending currency.
  • Quests now display which content will be unlocked upon completion.
  • Linked quests will be shown with all related linked quests.
  • Quests that require you to complete a certain dungeon will now feature a shortcut to immediately selects that dungeon.
  • Quest delivery items split between your bag and stash will now be displayed cleanly without confusion.


[Crafting and Enhancement]

  • Two new craftable costumes, the Phantom Lich Robe and Phantom Lich Helm, have been added.
  • A recipe for the new consumable item, the Uncommon Protection Potion, has been added.
    • Uncommon Protection Potion - 2 Protection Potions (Common) + 100 gold
    • Effect: Summons a barrier that absorbs 60 damage for 15 sec.
  • Changes have been made to the materials needed to craft epic grade weapons and armor.
    • Before: 25 basic materials + 3 Essence of Light + 200 gold
    • After: 12 basic materials + 3 Essence of Light + 300 gold
  • Sub stats will also be added at enhancement level 3.
    • Sub Stat Upgrade Thresholds: +5/+7 → +3/+5/+7


[Collections]

  • Collection progress will now increase based on the number of items added to the collection.
    • Collections will be divided into general collections and season collections, with progress rewards granted for each collection.


[Mercenaries]

  • Mercenaries now behave more efficiently in battle.
    • During boss fights, if players exit the boss room, mercenaries will disengage and follow players out.
    • When multiple members are knocked out, mercenaries will revive the closest ally first.
  • Barbarian mercenaries with the Crush skill will break chests instead of opening them.
  • Mercenaries will use call-outs in more situations, such as when discovering an altar or before breaking a chest.
  • Mercenary health growth from leveling up has been increased.
  • Mercenary contracts have been added to the game.
    • Mercenary Contract: Can be used to hire the designated mercenary and grant them condition points.


[Merchants and Shop]

  • Due to the change in season bosses, one item sold by the merchant has been replaced.
    • Dark Metalshard → Dark Matter
  • The Season Pass costume Mad Jester's Jeering Cloak can now be purchased from the Pass Shop.
  • The prices and purchase limits of certain Season Shop items have been adjusted.
    • Purchase limits on Equipment Chests have been changed to 10.
    • Prices and purchase limits for Character XP Potions have been changed.
      • Costs 60 season coins, limited to 20 purchases → Costs 150 season coins, limited to 40 purchases
    • Profile pics available for purchase have been replaced.
  • Risa Preta's Ravenbolt costume has been released.
  • New step up packs offering progressively better rewards are now available for purchase. These include the Mimic's Coin Chest, Golden Goblin's Coin Pouch, and Adventurer's Step Up Pack.
  • Costume tickets can no longer be purchased from the Silver Skein shop.


[Costumes]

  • A new costume draw, Ravenbolt, has been added.
    • The following costumes are available in this costume draw.

      • First Knight Chamberlain Set
      • First Knight Quartermaster Set
      • Calm Schemer Set
      • Canyon Goblin Hunter Set
    • Previews for sets have been updated to include newly added costumes.
    • Two new weapon costume slots have been added with the release of two new weapon types.
    • Limited-Time costumes can no longer be dismantled.
  • Select costumes will now be locked upon when acquired and can no longer be dismantled.
  • If you become able to equip a weapon due to changes to class passives, your costume will now also reflect the equipped weapon.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Ebon Roar Stiletto Dagger to display the Poison Dagger.


[Trade]

  • Max sale price added for each item grade.


[Training Ground]

  • 1v1 duels can be conducted in the Training Ground.
    • You can challenge other players to a duel by using the View Details menu. The duel will begin once your challenge is accepted.
    • You can decline all incoming duel requests by adjusting your settings in Settings - Gameplay.


[Chat]

  • Your chat history will persist as long as you remain signed in to the game, even after switching channels.
  • A notification will appear in chat after you switch channels.
  • Sending messages on chat no longer comes with an initial delay. Sending multiple messages in quick success may still lead to a cooldown.


[UI/UX]

  • The Lobby has been updated to display characters in a standing pose.
  • The notification that appears in the Lobby when the Wizard becomes available has been streamlined.
  • A button to return to the sign-in screen has been added to the Select Character screen.
  • Adjustments have been made to the way that character slots are displayed. All usable slots are shown, and all but one unused slot will be blurred.
  • The lock icon for costumes has been updated to match the icon used in the bag.
  • The lowest difficulty for each dungeon will be selected by default when opening the Darkest Regions tab under Select Map for the first time.
  • A feature has been added to the Profiles and Leaderboard that allows players to show off their poses.
  • The UI for the Emote menu has been improved with the addition of the pose system.
    • Edit Mode has been streamlined to allow for free customization.
    • The character model and emote wheel will now be displayed in the center and left side of the screen, respectively
    • Details for selected emotes will now appear below the character.
  • Mission event tasks will now be sorted by completion status.


[Bug Fixes and Optimization]

  • Overall network and client performance has been optimized.
  • Additional optimizations have been applied to make the Training Ground more accessible on low-spec devices.
  • Multiple graphical optimizations and bug fixes have been implemented to address issues found while playing on low-end devices, including view distance display issues on Galaxy S7 devices and crashes while signing in to the game.
  • Rewards will now be issued based on the higher rank between solo or party rank instead of the rank with the higher score.
  • Fixed an issue where the equipment score displayed on the Leaderboard did not match the player's current equipment.
  • Fixed an issue where manually changing the device's time settings affected time-related displays in-game.
  • Miscellaneous
    • Fixed an issue where flipping the screen while the opening cinematic played on certain devices caused the game to crash.
    • The Ebon Roar Stiletto Dagger icon now correctly displays the Stiletto Dagger icon.
    • Fixed a visual issue with the Barbarian NPC near the bonfire in the lobby of the Goblin Caves during the tutorial.
    • Fixed an issue where the wrong effect was displayed while resting.
    • Fixed an issue where incorrect visual effects were displayed while resting.
    • Fixed an issue where profile frames appeared empty when received as rewards. The icon will now be displayed in the center properly.
    • Fixed an issue during character creation where Hair Color 7 did not match the color displayed in the preset icon.


Many other bugs reported by the community have also been fixed.
